The “Township & Rural Economy National Dialogue,” an initiative by the TECSA Foundation (NPC), is set to take place on Thursday, August 28, 2025. This event aims to bring together South Africans to define a vision for the country’s economic future, with a specific focus on uplifting township and rural communities.
The dialogue’s theme echoes the sentiments of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA), which calls on citizens to unite and build a better South Africa. The organizers emphasize the importance of creating a space where every voice is heard, and where real solutions are found to improve the lives of people.
The event is a platform for meaningful engagement, seeking to leverage the collective wisdom of South Africans to address economic disparities. It promises to be a crucial step in building a more inclusive and prosperous society, as envisioned by the “A Nation That Works All” initiative.

The TECSA Foundation is collaborating with several key partners, including Mashudu Tinyiko Consulting, the Township of Kwa-Business Council, Royal 20, and TREDA. These partnerships highlight a multi-stakeholder approach to tackling the complex challenges of economic development.
